As of July 1st 2020, all Tennessee counties and thus all our locations, will be under guidance of Tennessee State Governor, Bill Lee’s reopening plan. These guidelines are subject to change at any time:

All guidelines from phase 1 are still in effect unless otherwise addressed below.
  • Childcare Requirements
    • All children will have their temperature screened before entering the childcare area. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 ºF will not be allowed into childcare.
    • All children are recommended to maintain safe social distance from others
  • Kids In Motion
    • All children are recommended to maintain safe social distance from others.
  • Face coverings/masks
    • Are not required if members can maintain a minimum of 12 ft distance from all others.
    • If unable to maintain 12 ft distance from others, a mask must be worn and a minimum of 6 ft distance must be maintained.
    • All employees will continue to wear masks at all times in our facilities.
  • Pools/Swimming Requirements
    • Members are recommended to maintain safe social distance at all times.
    • Swim teams will begin practicing June 1st (Signature, Tazewell Pike, Maryville, and Oak Ridge)
    • Swim lessons are now available

  • Summer camps
    • Camps will be held at Signature, Tazewell, Maryville, Oak Ridge, and Morristown.

We are very excited to be able to offer you some very missed amenities with the release of phase 2 for Knox County. As always, the health of our team members, members, and community neighbors is our first priority. We want to thank you in advance for your compliance and kindness as we adhere to CDC, state, and local guidelines to keep all of us safe and healthy.

As mandated by the CDC, Knoxville City Mayor, and Knox County Mayor the following guidelines are in place for phase 2 of reopening as of May 27th.

    • Each location will have different capacity limits based on the size of the childcare area.
    • All children will have their temperature screened before entering the childcare area. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 ºF and higher will not be allowed into childcare.
    • All children 3 years + must wear a face-covering.
    • All children must maintain 6 ft distance apart.
  • Kids In Motion will resume as of May 27th
    • Children ages 3 + will need to wear a face-covering.
    • All children must maintain 6 ft distance apart.
  • Face coverings/masks as of May 26th
    • Are not required if members can maintain a minimum of 12 ft distance from all others.
    • If unable to maintain 12 ft distance from others, a mask must be worn and a minimum of 6 ft distance must be maintained.
    • All employees will continue to wear masks at all times in our facilities.
  • Pools will be open as of May 27th
    • Members must maintain 6 ft distance at all times in and out of the water.

We are very excited to be able to safely welcome you back to our facilities on May 1st starting at 5am and be resuming normal hours of operation. We’ve been hard at work sanitizing and handling maintenance at each location and are ready to show you our results!
We want to thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during this time of unknowns. The journey continues as we reopen this week, and we will need your help once more in providing East TN’s best fitness center. As always, the health of our team members, members, and community neighbors is our first priority. We want to thank you in advance for your compliance and kindness as we adhere to CDC, state, and county guidelines to keep all of us safe and healthy. Your membership will be active to use on May 1st. Your billing will start back on your normal draft date. Please see the “Additional Questions” section at the bottom if you have questions not covered in this email.

  • People who feel sick must stay home.
 
  • Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
 
  • In addition to these mandated guidelines, we have decided to take the additional measure to have all members and employees will have their temperature taken before entering the gym. People with temperatures above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will be asked to leave.
 
  • The following amenities will not be offered during Phase 1 of reopening as specified by Knox County and Knoxville City Mayors:

  • All members and employees must answer screening questions before being allowed to enter the facility:
 
1. Have you been told to quarantine/isolate by a medical provider or the health department?
2. Have you had face-to-face contact for 10 or more minutes with someone who has COVID-19?
3. Are you feeling ill and/or experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19?
 
*If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you cannot enter the gym and should contact your doctor
 
  • All members and employees must practice safe social distancing and always remain at least 6 feet apart at all times. Machines will be moved or marked off to ensure 6 feet plus distance to other machines.
 
  • All members and staff must wear a face covering at all times while in the facility.
 
  • All members are responsible for providing their own face covering. In the coming weeks, we will have a limited number in supply for sale.
 
  • Each facility will be limited to 5 people per 1,000 sq. feet. The exact number of people allowed in each gym is dependent upon the size of the facility.
 
  • Everyone must sanitize their hands upon entering the facility.
 
  • Staff will conduct regular sanitization of high-touch surfaces, equipment, and common areas of the facility using “Maxim Facility +”. This is a hospital-grade germicidal cleaner and disinfectant. This is the same product used in hospitals and Knox County Schools.
 
  • Sanitizing stations must be used before and after the use of each piece of equipment. 
 
  • Members should sanitize equipment before and after use.
 
  • Group classes will have limited availability on a first come first served basis. Numbers allowed in class will be determined based on the size of the room.
 
 
As with many other activities opening up to the community again, we understand that some people may not feel comfortable attending. We will continue to offer our online services for those in need during this time. No matter what, please KEEP MOVING!
Exercise is very important to your overall mental and physical well-being to reduce your stress, stimulate your mind and body, boost your immune system, and even act as a time of family bonding!

Now that our offices will reopen on May 1st we will begin to address the account requests submitted during this time. If you have already sent an email with your request, please DO NOT send another email as it will only delay our efforts to respond to everyone.
