What is SPEED, AGILITY and QUICKNESS TRAINING?

SAQ Training improves an athlete’s overall strength, balance, stability, coordination, quickness, and speed.
At the core of SAQ Training is a series of drills and specific exercises that develop the body’s core muscle groups and the neuro-muscular pathways that control athletic movement.

 

Does SAQ Training Work?

ABSOLUTELY! On average, students have been able to shave 10% off their shuttle run time and have increased their vertical leap (a measure of explosive power) by 12%. Speed, agility, and quickness can be taught and enhanced through practice and hard work.

National Fitness Center’s Sports Explosive Performance Program is where average athletes become good athletes; good athletes become great athletes; and great athletes become legends! NFC uses a SAQ (Speed, Agility, and Quickness) training program that is designed to improve your explosive speed, quickness, strength, power, and vertical jump.

SAQ training is beneficial to athletes of any sport as its purpose is to enhance a player’s natural athleticism. A common misconception is that an athlete is born with a certain speed and strength ceiling outside of his or her control. SAQ training sessions will increase a player’s performance by focusing on fast-twitch muscle development, power first step, hand-eye coordination, and flexibility.
With National Fitness Center’s Sports Explosive Performance Program, you will improve your stamina, balance, stability, acceleration, speed, coordination, core body strength, footwork, decrease the risk of injury, and much more!
